Protection After Treatment

During heat treatment, some of your belongings will have been shifted, flipped or relocated to other rooms in order to provide constant and even heat. In order not to expose our employees to high temperatures for an extended period of time, we typically don’t replace items in their original positions when treatment is complete.

Once heat treatment has been completed, the temperature of your home will be very warm and a cool-down period will be needed. To expedite cooling, windows are opened and fans used to bring in cool, fresh air. Once temperatures are normalized and your items are still in their temporary locations, we strongly encourage vacuuming up any dead insects, casings and eggs on or under heat-treated items, and we recommend not shampooing or steam cleaning carpets for 30 days. As an added option, mattresses may be placed in permanent encasements.
